Do you feel embarrassed about the appearance of your smile? Did you wear braces as a teen but now have teeth that are shifting?
Dr. Welinsky is a Towson Invisalign provider and works with teen and adult patients to address a range of orthodontic concerns. Invisalign is a clear aligner system that is highly suitable for older patients who do not want to be seen in a professional or social setting with metal braces. Invisalign enables Dr. Welinksy to create a personalized orthodontic treatment plan that is designed to reposition your teeth and adjust the bite for improved oral health.
Invisalign offers key benefits for adult patients:
- Clear, discreet braces: with Invisalign, no one can tell you are wearing “braces”.
- Convenient treatment: there is no risk of a broken wire or bracket if you are busy traveling.
- No dietary restrictions: your aligners are removable for enjoying your regular diet.
- Maintain oral health with ease: you can remove the aligners to brush and floss daily, keeping your teeth and gums in good health throughout treatment.
Getting Started with Invisalign in Towson
The first step toward a new smile is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Welinsky in our Towson dentist office. He will examine your teeth, bite, and jaw joints to look for dental health and orthodontic concerns. This is also the opportunity to discuss your personal concerns and your cosmetic goals. We want to be sure that Invisalign is the right solution for your overall needs. Dr. Welinksy will make recommendations for treatment and provide information regarding the cost of treatment and expected results. We feel that an informed patient is the best patient and will take the time to answer your questions and educate you on all aspects of the proposed treatment.
If you choose to move forward with Invisalign treatment we will schedule an appointment for taking digital dental impressions. A second appointment will be scheduled for placing your first set of aligners, typically 2 to 3 weeks after the impressions are taken. The length of treatment will vary, depending on your needs although most patients complete treatment in 12-15 months. Throughout your treatment, we will have you come in for periodic checkups to monitor your progress.
