- Oral cancer screening: We check your lips, cheeks, tongue, and throat for any unusual spots or changes. It takes about two minutes and could save your life.
- Gum health check: We measure the pockets around your teeth. That tells us if there’s any inflammation or early signs of gum disease.
- Professional cleaning: Our hygienist will scale away plaque and tartar buildup. Then they’ll polish your teeth with a gritty toothpaste that leaves them feeling smooth and bright.
- Consultation with the doctor: Dr. Welinsky or Dr. Shires will come in, review your X-rays, and talk with you about what they found. This is your time to ask questions. No question is too small or silly.
For Kids: Extra Protection
If you’re bringing your child in, we add a couple of extra steps after the cleaning. We apply fluoride treatments to strengthen their growing enamel. And if their first or second molars have come in, we’ll talk about dental sealants. Those thin protective coatings go on the chewing surfaces to keep food and germs out of the grooves.
